Plans are underway at Marwood Hill Garden to create an area to encourage butterflies. The ground is currently being prepared, with some annual planting underway and further planting planned for September.

"We moved to Marwood Hill Garden in May 1949, and I remeber being a 9 year old boy down by the stream below the wood, damming it and chasing butterflies. There was a profusion of Common Blues, Speckled Woods, Tortoiseshells, Peacocks, Red Admirals and Cabbage Whites! How I'd love to see all those butterflies (well, their descendants) back at Marwood. That's a reason for developing a 'butterfly garden"
