CALLING ALL CHILDREN ...............
Come and wake up Father Christmas at Marwood Hill Gardens on Sunday 7th December.
Glenda Ramsey will be Christmas storytelling with her puppet friends Snow Queen, Wheezie Witch, Rudolph and many other characters in 'Christmas Crackers'
Glenda will be performing two different shows at 11.30am and 2.30pm ....Don't miss her....
The event will take place in the Garden Tea Room.
Booking essential.
Special Entry: Adults £3.50. Child £2.00
Gardens, plant sales and Garden Tea Room open for refreshments.

29 October 2008: THE BIG DRAW

Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to come to visit and take part in THE BIG DRAW on Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th, Friday 31st October Sunday 2nd November. Let your work be inspired by the 20 acres of beautiful garden cloaked in autumnal colours.
DRAWING SESSIONS WILL BE LEAD BY LOCAL ARTISTS. SESSIONS WILL VARY. Session Times: Morning 11am - 1pm Afternoon 2pm - 4pm
Normal admission charges apply. Event 2 hour sessions, £6 per adult, £4.50 for under 18's and concessions.

28 October 2008: SUNSHINE STORIES AT HALF TERM

Tuesday 28th October.
Come and meet Dodo, Dinosaurs, Doggy Tails and Rix and Rock the Shoe Box Sox at Marwood Hill Gardens. Glenda Ramsey will be entertaining with Sunshine Stories together with her puppet friends including the ever popular Moley Joe.
Glenda will be performing two different shows at 11.30am and 2.30pm Don't miss her. The event will take place under cover.

Come and join us in the garden tea room and help support MACMILLIAN CANCER SUPPORT. DJ MILES tea and coffee available as well as our popular selection of scrumptious homemade food.
Admission free to garden tea room - Normal admission to garden applies.

Garden opens for National Garden Scheme.
Marwood Hill Garden has been a supporter of the NGS for 50 years. In that time over £30,000 has been contributed to the charity. Thank you for visiting the gardens.

Marwood Hill Gardens will be exhibiting at the North Devon Show this year with a display of plants from the garden with some for sale. Come and say hello.

This years North Devon Show did take place despite the weather. It was certainly very muddy and wet at times but we were kept busy on the stand answering questions, giving information and selling plants.
Head Gardener Malcolm Pharoah did a stint on the Gardens Question Time panel in the afternoon with Sarah Chesters and Nick from St John's Garden Centre

The National Rhododendron Show at Rosemoor and NCCPG plant sale.
We were very pleased to have won a 1st, 3rd prizes in class for Camellia and Rhododendron exhibits. Our display created lots of interest from members of the public visiting the show.

'Silver Gilt Award' for our show garden at Devon County Show.
Thanks to the hard work of the garden staff and volunteers our show garden and display looked fabulous.

The Cornwall Spring Show was held on the 5th and 6th April and despite the rain and snow the show was a great success. The Marwood Hill Garden display of Rhododendrons and Camellias looked stunning
